Metering Modules

Haskell was contracted to fabricate metering skids, pigging stations and interconnect piping for Tesoro’s Refineries in Wilmington and Carson, California. The metering skids consisted of valving stations, Coriolis meters, filters and piping in a very complex arrangement to allow for inline spares and duplication in the field. The metallurgy requirements for the piping were some of the most stringent in the industry, as the products flowing through the lines varied between crude oil to light ends. This required both low Carbon Equivalency (CE) to reduce the potential for hydrogen induced cracking and ultra-low temp metallurgy for cryogenic products. The completed modules were shipped via truck and trailer from Bellingham to the project location inn Southern California.
