Haskell Corporation was contracted to fabricate five station canopies with general contractor Gary Merlino Construction. Each station canopy incorporates a different theme for the history of the area. For instance, the 9th Street Theater District Station will have translucent windscreens that almost dissolve into the metallurgy of the canopy allowing for theater-style seating below. Carbon and stainless steel joined with panels of glass with elaborate lighting details create a nighttime spectacle for onlookers. Each of the canopies were fabricated and installed on mock footings, insuring the perfect fit, in our Bellingham, Washington facility, then delivered to the construction site via truck.
